You know the feeling you get when you put on a record, and although it’s brand new, you get the feeling it’s been your favourite for years? That’s how this Sound Session hits you as mixed by Ideal Noise. But enough about that here’s a bio as supplied by the man himself:

A man … and his dog walking together around the neighborhood for hours … an iPod …a PC with some editing/production software and over 1 TB of ever expanding digital music files on various hard drives. These are collectively what’s behind the concept of Ideal Noise.

It is an attempt to selectively collect, pair up, mix and share some personal and favorite sounds by some outstanding artists and producers involved in today’s various genres of electronic sounds. Lack of professional music training, DJ’ing and production credentials are used to the benefit of delving into variety of stuff without fear of turning off fans or followers. I share what I like and what is close to my heart. Those who like it, are quick to forgive all my shortcomings somehow ….And that’s what gives Ideal Noise relevance and popularity.

Yes, you read it right – it GLOWS-in-the-DARK! Radical! Check the inset for view of the tee under a black light (party-mode), as well as in daylight (business-mode). Oh yeah, and that’s me rocking it at the members only opening of Art in the Streets at the MOCA Geffen Contemporary in Downtown Los Angeles. Who’s that giving daps you ask? It’s a HOT summer in Los Angeles and although Mojo is a producer from Sheffield – he def brings the heat! Mojo has been bouncing between genres for 4–5 years now, and has within the last year moved to Dubstep with a residency at one of Sheffields biggest dubstep nights “Grounded.“ Mix that with over 500,000 YouTube hits, alongside being played on some of the top radio shows around the world such as Radio 1, he is slowly splurging onto the scene with his enchanting riffs and gritty bass synths. And the momentum has def continued into 2011 with Mojo signing to Output Records and being booked around the UK & US. With lots of incredible forthcoming releases, expect to see more from him soon. For now though – put on some headphones, blast the volume (hella loud!) and listen to this massive mix!

The May Sound Session cools out a bit with the stylings of OpenOptics and offers a proper anthem for some serious top-down, low-riding. Homegrown in San Diego, OpenOptics has fused his talents as a master turntablist with a seasoned guitarist/songwriter, Chavez, to form Inspired Flight. As they describe it – iF is “Rooted in hip-hop with branches of indie rock, electronica, downtempo, dub, and dance, Inspired Flight gives life to a hypnotizing and influential new musical experience that listeners are finding refreshing and authentic.” We def agree with that and bank on their continued path to “Create Fate.”
